MLA Braj Bhushan Rajput Recommends Inter-District Transfers for Spouse Teachers
MLA Shri Braj Bhushan Rajput (Charkhari Constituency, Mahoba) addressed a formal letter to the Hon'ble Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh supporting the long-standing demand of the Spouse Teachers Association for inter-district transfers. In his letter, the MLA highlighted that many teachers working under the Uttar Pradesh Basic Education Council have spouses employed in different districts under various government departments. As a result, these families continue to face significant social, family, and psychological challenges due to prolonged separation. The letter emphasized that allowing husband and wife to serve in the same district would strengthen family stability, improve mental well-being, enhance job satisfaction, and contribute to better educational quality by enabling teachers to perform more effectively. Recognizing the genuine concerns of spouse teachers, the MLA respectfully requested the Chief Minister to formulate a policy that allows spouses to be posted together in the same district, preferably in their home district whenever feasible. The letter was submitted along with the memorandum of the Spouse Teachers Association, expressing confidence that a compassionate and practical decision by the state government would provide long-awaited relief to thousands of spouse teachers and their families across Uttar Pradesh.
